We started on this journey back in 1997. My wife and I had a total of five kids between us. She had two boys and one girl, and I had two boys. Our youngest was about to turn 18 and my lovely wife asked how I felt about adopting. I told that would be fine. I thought that was the end of it. She had asked if I liked to fish also, but we haven't fished yet. Well, she procedes to look into adoption. I thought at our ages {40 and 43} that we didn't have a chance. 2 weeks after we met with a counsler, we received a call. She told us to come down rightaway and meet a perspective birth mother. To say the least I was shocked. I thought that the introduction letter and photos were just lost time and money. Well they wern't the birthmother picked us out of many couples that were waiting to adopt. Like I said this was the start of a long sometimes hard road. Link to this article | Views: 2219
